Found Poem of Lord of flies

                           The Conch
Form William Golding's Lord of the Flies page11-201
                                                                 Claude hu
  11)A worthy plaything
11)The shell was pretty and interesting
11)A conch;ever so expensive, you'd have to pay pounds and pounds and pounds.
11)In colour the shell was deep cream with fading pink.
11)Into a little hole, and the pink lips of the mouth,
11)Lay eighteen inches of shell with a slight spiral twist and covered with a delicate, embossed pattern.
  12)Immediately the thing sounded
11)A deep, harsh note boomed under he palms
  12)Moo-ed like a cow
12)Spread through the intricacies of the forest and echoed back from the pink granite of the mountain.
  12)From the tree-tops
12)Clouds of birds rose, and something squealed and ran in the undergrowth
20)Ralph smailed and held up the conch for silece
31)"I'll give the conch to the next person to speak. He can hold it when he's speaking"
31)"and he wom't be interrupted except by me"
  44)"Oh shut up"
44)"I got the conch," said Piggy in a hurt voice."I got right to speak."
45)All the boys except Piggy started to giggle.
189)"I got the conch.I'm goinng to that Jack Merridew an'tell him.I'm" Ralph said
195)"I say! you voted for me for Chief.Didn't you hear the conch?"
196)The blood was flowing in his cheeks and the bunged-up eye throbbed
199)Surprisingly,there was silence now;the tribe were curious to hear what amusing thing he might have to say.
200)"Which is better-to have rules and agree, or to hunt and kill?"
201)The sea breathed again in a long slow sigh, the water boiled white and pink over the rock
201)And when it went, sucking back again, the body of Piggy was gone
201)"See? See? That's what you'll get! I meant that! There isn't a tribe for you any more! The conch is gone!"
  201)"I'm a Chief!"
188)The forest re-echoed;and birds lifted, crying out of the treetops, as on that first ages ago

Group work-poem

Fire on the mountain
Nobody said anything
Laughter and cheers
He must have had a nightmare

He say he saw the bestie
But there isn't a bestie
The Snake-thing
But there isn't a snake

Shut up! wait! listen!
Has anyone got any matches
Not for the two of us
What do you mean

We haven't made a fire
That was no good
We used his specs
Fire on the mountain
